Great, great grandmother, Dona Gabriela De La Pena created the Reposado category and is renowned for her contribution to Tequila culture as a whole.

.

They have mastered the artistry that goes into cultivating, distilling and producing world-class tequila.

DEFYING THE TREND OF FAST, MASS-PRODUCED TEQUILA

Our mature agaves are transported from a family estate to the Auténtica Distillery (Nom 1502). Marcado 28 is a premium small-batch tequila made from the finest hand-selected and slow-cooked 100% blue Weber agaves in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

We juice and distill the agave using the traditional slow-baking method that releases the natural sweetness from cooked agave.

We use stainless steel ovens to slow-steam cook the agave and lower pressures and temperatures than the industry standards, which bring out the agave’s natural flavors. Then, we use a roller mill, open fermentation and pot distillation. For the reposado, we blend a variety of American oak barrels, where the tequila rests for eight months.

The result is a pure tequila made with just three ingredients: pristine water from the aquifers of Volcán de Tequila, hand-selected agave, and yeast.
